<h3 id="">A Better Way to Set Your Site’s Language</h3><p id="">We’ve improved how you set your site’s language tag in Webflow. Instead of using the language field in Site Settings, you’ll now define a primary locale through Localization.</p><p id="">This isn’t a new feature, but it’s now the standard way to manage language tags in Webflow.</p><h3 id="">What’s Changing</h3><p id=""><strong id="">For new projects:</strong></p><ul id=""><li>The Site Settings language field is now disabled.</li><li>You’ll be prompted to set a primary locale in Localization.</li></ul><p id=""><strong id="">For existing projects:</strong></p><ul id=""><li>If you're using Localization, your locale settings now control your language tags.</li><li>If you previously set a language in Site Settings <em id="">without</em> using Localization, that value will remain, unless you remove it.</li><li>If you never set a language, the field will now be disabled.</li></ul><h3 id="">Why This Matters</h3><p id="">Managing your language through Localization improves <strong id="">SEO</strong> and <strong id="">accessibility</strong>, even for single-language sites.</p>
