Status of the Udesly BigCommerce to Webflow converter

Udesly has retired this converter. The tool that used to take a BigCommerce product export and hand back a Webflow-ready file is gone, and the pages that hosted it now 404 along with the Wix, WooCommerce, Shopify, and Squarespace converters that sat beside it. Udesly the company is still operating: it sells Udesly Nexus, which runs the other way and converts a Webflow project into a Shopify, WordPress, Jamstack, or Ghost theme. Its current documentation does not mention BigCommerce anywhere.

That makes every older walkthrough unreliable. Any tutorial, video, blog post, or forum answer telling you to upload a BigCommerce CSV to a Udesly converter is describing something you cannot open today, and every step after that point will fail to match what is on your screen. What follows are routes that current documentation still describes.

How to move a BigCommerce catalog into Webflow

Webflow reads a BigCommerce product CSV export directly, which is why losing the converter costs you very little. The decision that actually matters is whether you are leaving BigCommerce or keeping it as the commerce backend behind a Webflow front end.

The CSV product import is the one-time move: BigCommerce exports the catalog, Webflow Ecommerce imports it, and the field mapping happens for you. If you would rather not move the commerce logic at all, the embed route leaves the catalog, cart, checkout, and customer records with BigCommerce as your backend and uses Webflow purely for design. The API route sits between the two, keeping both systems in step at the cost of server-side work.

Import your BigCommerce product export as a CSV

Webflow does the conversion step the Udesly tool used to do, so nothing sits between the two platforms now. Webflow maps CSV columns to Products Collection fields automatically, unlike a standard Collection item import where you match up every field by hand.

To run the migration:

1. In BigCommerce, go to Products, then Export, and download your catalog. BigCommerce documents the templates and options for exporting your products.
2. In your Webflow site, open the Ecommerce panel, go to Products, and click Import.
3. Click "Our CSV template" to pull down the column layout Webflow expects, then reshape your BigCommerce export to match it.
4. Drag the finished file in or browse for it, then read the import summary Webflow hands back.

A handful of constraints decide whether that import lands cleanly:

• Column headers have to match the template: Webflow maps by header name and does not support mapping to custom product fields, so anything BigCommerce-specific either goes into a standard column or gets dropped.
• Product handle, product name, and variant price are required: the handle must be unique, 256 characters or fewer, and limited to letters, numbers, and dashes with no spaces.
• One bad row skips the whole product: a non-numeric price on a single variant drops that product and every variant under it, so download the error log and fix the file before re-running.
• The file cap is 4MB: a large BigCommerce catalog needs splitting across several imports, though the header row never counts against your plan limit.

Images arrive as URLs rather than files, so keep the BigCommerce store live until you have confirmed every asset resolves on the Webflow side.

Keep BigCommerce as the backend

Migrating is not the only sensible answer, and for a large or B2B catalog it is often the wrong one. Sync the catalog with the APIs

Continuous sync is a build, not a setting. Read products from the BigCommerce Catalog API, reshape each record, and write it into a Webflow CMS collection or an Ecommerce product through the Webflow Data API. BigCommerce webhooks can trigger that write whenever the catalog changes, which stops prices and stock levels from drifting apart. Budget real developer time: you own the field mapping, the retry logic, the rate limits on both sides, and the alerting when a sync fails quietly.

What you can build with a BigCommerce catalog in Webflow

Once the products sit in Webflow, or are readable from BigCommerce, the storefront design stops being constrained by a theme system. These are the shapes teams reach for most often:

• Design-led product pages: Build product templates with custom fields, scroll interactions, and per-product layout choices that a stock commerce theme would fight you on.
• Campaign storefronts: Launch a limited drop or seasonal collection as its own Webflow page set while the main catalog stays wherever it already lives.
• B2B and wholesale catalogs: Keep customer groups and tiered pricing in BigCommerce and surface them through embeds, since Webflow Ecommerce prices a product the same way for every visitor.
• Regional storefronts: Use Webflow localization to serve translated product copy and region-specific pages from one project instead of duplicating the site per market.
