Shared Libraries
Share global tag styles in libraries
Share global tag styles like body and headings in Libraries so components look the same on every site.
Components often rely on tag styles, the default styles for elements like body, headings, and paragraphs. Those styles used to stay on the site a Library came from, so the same component could look different on every site that installed it.
Now, when you share a Library, it includes the tag styles you customize, alongside your components, variables, fonts, and assets. With global tag styles, you can:
- Keep components consistent across sites without recreating tag styles by hand
- Choose which Libraries' tag styles apply to each site, and in what order
- Uninstall a Library without changing how the site looks
Good to know
Your site's own tag styles always win over Library tag styles, and classes win over both. You can't edit Library tag styles on the site where the Library is installed, so make changes on the source site and share an update. When you uninstall a Library, Webflow merges the tag styles you turned on into your site's own, so the site looks the same.
Global tag styles are available wherever Shared Libraries are, which is on all paid Workspace plans.
