Flowstar Open Hours Widget
Connect the Flowstar Open Hours Widget with Webflow to show accurate, timezone-aware business hours on any page without code.
Webflow has no native element for displaying business operating hours. Hours end up as static text on a page, so every holiday closure or seasonal change means a manual edit and a republish. Visitors in other time zones read times that may not match their own clock, a small detail that costs you phone calls and wasted trips.
The Flowstar Open Hours Widget adds that display and updates it from one place. Installing the Flowstar app puts a configurable hours block on any page, and the widget reads each visitor's time zone and shifts the hours it shows to match. You configure it through an in-app overlay inside Webflow, with no embed snippets to paste.
Reach for this integration when schedules shift too often for hand-editing. Agencies handing sites to non-technical clients get the most out of it, along with multi-location retail chains and hospitality sites that run a different schedule every season. Service businesses also use it to publish the windows when someone is actually there to answer.
How to integrate the Flowstar Open Hours Widget with Webflow
What is the Flowstar Open Hours Widget? The Flowstar Open Hours Widget is a no-code Webflow App from Flowstar that displays business operating hours on your site. Flowstar describes it as supporting list, pop-up and teaser bar displays, 12-hour or 24-hour clocks, a configurable first day of the week, day format and language settings, and automatic adjustment to the visitor's time zone.

Teams pair the widget with Webflow when hours change often enough that manual edits become a maintenance problem. A restaurant moving to holiday hours, or a chain running a different schedule per store, updates the widget instead of rewriting page copy. You can place it on CMS Collection pages as well as static pages, with one caveat worth knowing before you plan a build: the widget shows the schedule set in its overlay rather than reading hours from individual CMS fields, so a single instance displays the same hours everywhere it appears.
Sort out one thing before you install. The standalone Open Hours Widget listing on the Webflow Marketplace has been retired, and as of July 2026 the widget ships inside Flowstar's Visual Widgets Toolkit app, which is where the install button on this page points. Flowstar's own site still links to the old standalone URL, so that link fails. Flowstar publishes no public API, no webhooks and no embed snippet for the widget, which leaves installing the app as the only supported path.
Install the Flowstar app
Install the widget from Flowstar's Visual Widgets Toolkit listing in the Webflow Marketplace, using the install button on this page. The listing asks you to log in before it will install anything. During install the app requests read and write access to custom code in head and body tags and to site data and publishing, plus read access to authorized user information, assets, page data and your Ecommerce store. All configuration then happens in Flowstar's in-app overlay.
You can also install apps from the Apps panel without leaving your site, a change Webflow launched on April 3, 2024. To set up the integration:
- Open the Visual Widgets Toolkit listing in the Webflow Marketplace, log in, and install it.
- Choose the Workspaces and sites you want the app on.
- Approve the permissions the app requests.
- Open your site in Webflow, then open the Apps panel.
- Launch Flowstar from your installed apps.
- Add the Open Hours widget to the page, then set the schedule and display format in the overlay.
After setup, the widget covers the following without any extra code:
- Weekly schedule: Standard opening hours render in whichever display format you pick, so the same schedule can sit inline or behind a pop-up.
- Seasonal changes: You swap in holiday or special-event hours from the overlay rather than editing and republishing page copy.
- Time zone handling: The widget reads each visitor's time zone and shifts the displayed hours so remote visitors see something they can act on.
- Clock and calendar format: You choose 12-hour or 24-hour time, the first day of the week, and how day names are written.
- Language settings: Day labels and wording follow the language you configure in the overlay, which matters on non-English sites.
- Responsive display: Hours stay readable on desktop, tablet and mobile, on static and CMS-driven pages alike.
One install covers all of it, with no separate modules or add-ons to wire up afterward.
Customize the widget appearance
Schedule, format and language settings live in Flowstar's overlay, while visual styling uses Webflow's own controls. That split keeps full design control on the canvas. To adjust how the widget looks:
- Select the widget, open its element settings, and choose Flowstar to edit its configuration.
- Select individual widget elements in the Navigator.
- Apply styling to those elements with Webflow's style controls.
Styling changes appear in preview but only reach visitors once you publish the site.
Removing the widget later takes a few extra minutes, because elements an app adds to a page stay behind after the app itself is gone:
- Open the Apps panel, select the installed app, and remove it from the site.
- In your Workspace or site settings, open the apps and integrations tab and uninstall or revoke the app there.
- Delete the leftover widget elements from your pages by hand.
The app's custom code drops out on the next publish. The elements stay until you delete them, so budget that cleanup into any handoff.
What you can build with the Flowstar Open Hours Widget Webflow integration
Integrating the Flowstar Open Hours Widget with Webflow keeps accurate, time zone aware hours on your site without manual page edits or standing developer support. A few patterns come up repeatedly:
- Multi-location hours pages: A retail chain or multi-office business puts a separately configured instance on each location page, and a store locator map covers directions on the same page.
- Seasonal schedule displays: A hospitality site swaps in holiday or special-event hours through the overlay instead of rewriting page copy before every season.
- Client-managed business hours: An agency ships a site where the client edits opening hours directly, without touching layout or filing a support request.
- Open and closed status for service businesses: A clinic or studio publishes its operating hours so visitors know when someone is in, though the widget displays hours and does not take bookings.
Booking is the natural next step once visitors know when you are open, and Calendly handles that side of it. See how to show a scheduling pop-up on a Webflow site.
If you would rather hold hours data in Webflow CMS and sync it across CMS-driven location pages, build that with the Webflow Data API and treat the widget as a display layer only. Teams working through an AI assistant can connect the Webflow MCP server and then manage or audit that hours content across every page from one place.
Frequently asked questions
You need an active paid Site plan on the site where you publish it. The app writes custom code, and Webflow only publishes custom code from paid sites, so a free site can preview the widget but not ship it to visitors.
No. The widget installs and configures entirely through the app, so you never touch a Code Embed element or a script tag. Flowstar publishes no HTML snippet and no self-hosted install pattern for it.
Yes. You can place it on Collection pages and static pages alike. It shows the schedule set in the app overlay rather than reading hours from CMS fields, so every distinct schedule needs its own configured instance.
No. The widget has no public developer documentation, no API endpoints and no webhooks, and every setting lives in the in-app overlay. For programmatic control, store schedules as CMS items and manage them through the collection item endpoints, with a
collection_item_changedwebhook keeping downstream systems current.No. Its standalone Marketplace listing has been retired, and the widget now ships inside Flowstar's Visual Widgets Toolkit app. Flowstar's website still links to the old standalone URL, which returns a 404, so install the Toolkit instead.
