G Suite
Embed Google Workspace files, formerly G Suite, in Webflow: publish a Doc, Sheet, Slides, or Form to the web, then paste the embed code into a Code Embed element.

Google renamed G Suite to Google Workspace in 2020, and Google's current documentation for Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Forms sits under the Workspace name. The embed method itself has not changed. Google generates embed code only for a file that has been published to the web, which is the step most people miss.
To put a Doc, Sheet, or Slides file on a Webflow page:
- Open the file in Google and click File > Share > Publish to web.
- Click Embed, choose a publishing option, then click Publish and copy the HTML from the text box.
- In Webflow, open the Add panel, add a Code Embed element to the canvas, paste the HTML, then save and close the modal.
Google Forms works from a different menu. Open the form, click Send at the top right, click Embed, then copy the HTML and paste it into a Code Embed element the same way.
A Code Embed element holds up to 50,000 characters and needs a Core, Growth, Agency, or Freelancer Workspace, or an active Site plan on the site you are building. Edits you make to the original Google file reach the embedded version on their own, usually within a few minutes, and the only way to take a file back off the web is to stop publishing it in Google.
Each of these apps also has its own page here. Google Sheets covers publishing tabular data, and Google Forms covers collecting responses without building a Webflow form. Long-form content you want to keep editing in Google belongs on the Google Docs page.
Frequently asked questions
No. Google renamed G Suite to Google Workspace in 2020, and Google's current documentation uses the Workspace name throughout. The G Suite name survives only for the legacy free edition, which Google restricts to personal, non-commercial use.
An embed renders only after the file is published to the web. Google generates the embed HTML inside the Publish to web dialog, so a file that has only been shared by link has no embed code to copy. Open the file, use File > Share > Publish to web, then click Embed.
Yes. The Code Embed element requires a Core, Growth, Agency, or Freelancer Workspace, or an active Site plan on the site. The element accepts up to 50,000 characters of HTML, far more than a Google embed needs.
Stop publishing the file in Google. Deleting the Code Embed element hides the file on your Webflow page, but the URL Google created when you published stays reachable until you open the file and stop publishing it there.
