Flowstar Customer Testimonials Slider
Connect Flowstar with Webflow to display customer testimonials in slider or grid layouts using the Flowstar app embed or the Webflow CMS API for programmatic control.
How to integrate Flowstar Customer Testimonials Slider with Webflow
Flowstar Customer Testimonials Slider works as a no-code app that you install from the Webflow Apps Marketplace. You configure testimonials in the Flowstar dashboard, generate embed code, and place it on your pages. For teams with engineering resources, the Webflow CMS API provides a separate path for importing testimonials from external sources and building custom slider implementations.
Install the Flowstar app and embed the widget
Install Flowstar Customer Testimonials Slider from the Webflow Apps Marketplace. After installation, configure your testimonials and generate embed code in the Flowstar dashboard.
To place the testimonial widget on a specific page location, use the custom code embed element. This element supports HTML, CSS within <style> tags, and JavaScript within <script> tags, with a maximum of 50,000 characters per element.
- Open the target page in Webflow
- Open the Add panel and drag a Code Embed element to the desired location
- Double-click the Code Embed element and paste the Flowstar-generated embed code
- Verify the code does not contain \<html>, \<body>, or \<head> tags
- Save the embed element
- Publish the site or enable custom code in preview mode to test
Custom code does not run on the Webflow canvas. To see the live testimonial slider, either publish your site or enable custom code in preview mode by clicking the toggle in the bottom left corner of the preview screen. This feature is available on eligible plans.
For site-wide placement, add code through Site settings > Custom code in either the head or body sections. For page-specific placement, use Page settings > Custom code. Both approaches require a paid Webflow site plan (or a Core, Growth, Agency, or Freelancer Workspace) to publish.

Frequently asked questions
Install the app from the Webflow Apps Marketplace listing by clicking Add to site and selecting your target project. After installation, access the Flowstar dashboard to configure testimonials and generate your embed code. Place the code using Webflow's Code Embed element. Custom code embeds require a paid Webflow site plan (or a Core, Growth, Agency, or Freelancer Workspace) to publish.
Custom code does not execute on the Webflow canvas itself. To see your testimonial slider, you have two options. You can enable custom code in preview mode by clicking the Enable custom code toggle in the bottom left corner of the preview screen. Or you can publish your site and check the live version in your browser. If the slider still doesn't appear after publishing, verify that your embed code is correctly pasted and does not contain ,
, or tags.Yes. You can create a CMS collection for testimonials, populate it through the Webflow CMS API or manually, and display items using collection lists or a custom slider library like Swiper.js. This approach gives you more control over data structure and presentation but requires more setup than Flowstar's no-code widget. It's best suited for teams comfortable with JavaScript and CMS configuration.
