It's the last day, the season finale. If we're being dramatic about it. And we are. We made a whole TV show, so clearly we're committed to the bit.
Yesterday, you were in the room for the world premiere of "Own Your Narrative", a film that not only documents the AI reckoning happening across all industries, but also shows what happens when you confront the moment head on. So I want to do something a little different today. Instead of introducing new content, I want to look back at the week and pull out the moments that mattered. Think of this as previously on Flow TV. I'm going to talk over these clips like a sports highlight reel, which, let's be honest, is something I have always wanted to do.
Tuesday, Webflow's AEO/SEO lead, Vivian, set the table for everything to come this week. She said you used to optimize to show up in ten blue links, and that really was a much clearer playbook. Now you're optimizing to be the answer, and that changes with every prompt, every industry, every brand and every individual searching.
And then the exec roundtable got, well, let's say, honest. Inna from LinkedIn said companies already have all the pieces. They just need to activate them differently. But Carol from Walker and Dunlap pushed right back, saying the CMOs she's talking to don't even know which technology they need. Then Maura from Maven Clinic jumped in and called it hubris to claim you're ready for something that's changing this fast. And Dave, well, he was clearly loving it.
Wednesday, Wednesday, Wednesday, the practitioners showed us what this actually looks like when you're hands on. Josephine told a story that I think will stay with a lot of people. The prospect found Oyster HR on ChatGPT with the wrong price. Half of what they actually charge and that prospect negotiated based on AI's answer. That's not a hypothetical. That's a real business implication.
And then Alexander and Vivian showed us how it's done. Alexander said something I think every brand team needs to consider. So much of what we've built has been around these beautiful, visual, engaging experiences. But when someone asks an AI for the best web marketing platform, all they get back is text. So if your brand voice isn't distinct in that moment, you disappear.
And yesterday "Own Your Narrative", the documentary. Paolo said something I keep coming back to. Great marketing isn't about convincing people who already are going to buy. It's about shifting perception for the people who weren't thinking of you in the first place. And when you combine that with the potential of AI, the opportunity on the table is pretty much limitless.
That's what I want to end on. Except I won't. Because there's still so much more.
That's the week. We laughed, we cried, we vibed out to some smooth LLM jazz. But this isn't a see you next season situation. The whole point of this was to move from watching to doing.
So here's your next steps. Go to webflow.com/aeo to learn more about the new Webflow AEO solution and to contact our sales team. Webflow University has a full AEO course. It covers the fundamentals, how AEO builds on SEO, and how AI systems discover and cite your content. And if this week sparks something, that's where you go to learn the mechanisms. You can run a free AEO assessment on your own site right now. It takes five minutes. It'll show you where you stand across the four pillars — content, technical, authority, and measurement. And of course where you have the gaps. And we have the AEO divide report, the research behind all those stats we were citing all week. It's available to download now.
This has been Flow TV. Thanks for watching. Now go make your website smarter than the AI that's trying to summarize it.
